Neglect Understanding & local procedures

In this course you will look at what child neglect is, what the prevalence is, the long-term effects on physical and mental health, emotions, behaviour and educational outcomes. 

This course will give a overview of what some of the signs of neglect might be, as well as why some children may never disclose that they are being neglected or abused.

You will also examine what procedures are taken when a cause for concern is reported and how children’s services respond to this.

This course is suitable for anyone that works with children.
